Stand

Because of your control, I was controlling. Because of your anger, I was angry. Because of your jealousy, I was jealous. As a results of all your faults, I too have faults and have faulted in my behavior in this world. Yet, because of the failures in my past, here in the present, I am whole. Your faults in character as a parent have become the direct cause of my strengths as your child. Not all teachers in this life do so consciously anad not all truths are black and white.

In the grey area of existence is where most fundimental realities and flashes of enlightenment take place. In a moment of extreme suffering, your greatest joy can be fully acquired. In the face of insurmountable odds, a path to freedom is revealed. When all hope is lost and the last glimmer of light is finally snuffedout, you find peace waiting in the darkness. You come to the understanding that all things occur because you as an individual stood in need of their passing or occurring. You have the ability to see beauty in even the most dire situations if you would but open your eyes and accept the lesson being presented or rendered.

My strength was born from your weakness. My understanding created by your ignorance. My triumph realized as I emerged from the ashes of your failure Thank you Father (or Mother) for your being human. In being wrong you taught me more about what's right than any other person I ever encountered in this life. In falling short of perfection you showed me that it was alright to be human. Even after all the times I've falled, when I look at you I find the strength to stand.
