LA-Story.com got a chance to interview Shelby about being smart about partying over the holidays (and anytime) -- whether it's what you drink or what you are doing as well as who you are doing it with.

From the casual date to a party, you never know what might happen. Whether you are involved with the guy or not, you need to have some pre-set plans on what you will and won't do-- that night or at any time. It's about having limits, knowing the limits and making sure you have some back-up plans (or as Shelby calls it , "Plan B " ) in place to help you out if you are in trouble, in a situation you don't like or assitance even in getting home.
Better than ignoriing the problem is Plan B One Step which is the emergency contraceptive pill available over the counter if you are age 17 +. You should have at least 2-3 of these pills (in a car, at home, in your purse) in case something should happen. Condoms aren't always around and sometimes they break.
