Nintendo's Wii is one of the hottest things around these days and there are lots of games and devices that have been created to use all aspects of the Wii platform. Wii Fit and now with the WiiFitPlus, it makes it easy to get active

One person (besides me and a few million others who love Wii Fit and other fitness programs useable on Wii platform) is Julie Maloney.

Not only has Julie been an incredibly active blogger for over a year, but in that short period of time, she's amassed a vast readership/following on Twitter and Facebook. She blogs "The Cool Mom's Guide to parenting (or attempting to)" on her personal site, Momspective but she alsohosts a wide array of product reviews and giveaways on her sister site Momspective Reviews

In November 2008 , Julie shared her journey to weight loss using the Nintendo Wii Fit (www.Momspective.com/Wii-Fit) on her blog. She met two other enthusiastic bloggers and co-founded the Wii Mommies virtual fitness website in December 2008. In practically a year since its' inception, Wii Mommies forum has registered over 800 members providing support and encouragement for individuals around the world to lose weight and get fit together

Not only a fan of Wii Fit, but Momspective's Julie loves the EA Sports Active and often gets to test drive some of the programs.

(Sounds like a brand that I should be checking out too because as an "official" Wii addict, I find that after a while with over 650 workouts to my credit-- I get bored easily).

In March, 2009, Julie participated in the EA Sports Active 30 Day Challenge with 11 other team members, including Allison Sweeney, host of The Biggest Loser. She met one-on-one with Oprah's personal fitness trainer, Bob Greene, and talked about how to better reach members of her community on achieving their personal fitness goals.

When the weather cools and football teams take the field Julie an avid football fan roots for her hometown fave, the Carolina Panthers. She is uses her passion for football to help women understand and enjoy the game which helps strengthen relationships with their spouses by teaching women about the sport through Fantasy Football.

Julie's passion for life and her love of fitness and football as well as networking witih other moms and people who want to get fit or have a story to share makes her a really great role model to show any woman- -no matter what size they are, no matter how old they are, that they can get fit. It won't happen over night, but persistence (and a smile like the one you see here) is sure to help the journey. Share it with Julie and you can join Wii Mommies for inspiration and support.
