With all the talk about carbon footprints, recycling and all the "green" talk recently, you have to wonder where was everyone a few years ago? Well Above Average's Stella and I hit the Natural Products Expo West and talked to the SIMPLE SHOES people - which is a well established and growing quickly line of footwear for everyone that's got a bead on going green but giving you great styles.

While leaving and sending tons of messages for the company to get back to me, Stella was smarter. She went on a hunt for Simple Shoes and scored big prize on the hunt.
Here's the shoes she found:

Simple Toe Foo at a wonderous price of under $10!!. (thunderous applause and serious props for the bargain hunting skills of this fab lady-- meaning read the blog!)

Here's a bit of her commentary

A pair of GreenToe Toe Foo sandals is made with high-quality sustainable materials like crepe, water-based glue, bamboo, organic cotton and hemp and will set you back about $45. Unless of course you're a savvy shopper like me--I scored the Toe Foo sandals pictured above at Ross Dress for Less for $9.99. Sweet! Being green and saving green--I love it!

Stella didn't stop there. She did a bit more research on the company and found that they were partnering up with the Walking Company.
