The Weepies Drop New CD & Selling Out Tour Dates Thru Thanksgiving! Podcast!
The Weepies -- a well-known indie/folk meets pop duo-- have just dropped their latest CD "Be My Thrill" on iTunes (with 2 extra tracks exclusive to iTunes) and also in other venues like amazon, all digital outlets and start looking for hard copies too because you will want this one with you for the ride that it gives you. This is their follow-up to the 2008 success of Hideaway and this one is a distinct evolution of music courtesy of Deb & Steve's having children.

The changes that children add to the equation of the lives of these two musicians is no different than what it does to other parents but think if you only worked at home-- and how it definitely changes out the musical tone and the life changes that children bring to the table-- the laughter, joy and lack of sleep.
What's really interesting about this CD is that amazing array of music and musicians who participated in this effort with Steve and Deb.

You can hear it all here in this podcast with Steve and Deb of the Weepies. This is a bit longer and more intimate in some ways because I met The Weepies before I did my first musican/music oriented podcast ever with Joshua Radin. This goes back a few years, but I met them through a Mandy Moore event and they even remembered me-- which I still find pretty amazing. There's some interesting factoids that come out of this podcast so please give it a listen.
* Note, this podcast was done the day before the CD dropped. By the time this launches, the CD will have been out for 2 days!

Thank you to Deb & Steve of The Weepies for their time -- and having such a great memory about what we talked about that day about 4-5 years ago. This was one of those really "connected" podcasts where I actually know the people I am interviewing and we had a good time that day with Mandy Moore and we had a great time on the podcast.
