Oscars Podcast Part 2: Digital Dogs & LA-Story Talk about Supporting & Best Actors/Actresses

Back with part 2 of the Oscar discussion about the winners, losers and who really didn't deserve to be included as an Oscar nominee is Gather's Movie Correspondent, Digital Dogs aka Janet Planet.

What's interesting as Janet and I finish up the discussion on the best actor, best actress and both supporting categories is how we saw some movies quite the same, others quite differently and others we agreed on but for different reasons. Consider us the FEMALE version of Siskel and Ebert

We dug into the Best Actress-- we really dug deep into these performances.

Oscars part 2

I think there's a lot of here in terms of explaining the dynamic of certain movies that you might have seen or those you haven't seen that could get you to put this on your rental list-- a la Precious which is a true to life story.

Not only do we discuss who was nominated-- deservedly or not so deserved-- and the pluses and minuses of the nuances of the various performances but also a lot about how the movies were slotted to be shown around the country and particularly here in So. California.. because if have you a window of about 2-3 weeks to see a movie, you might miss it because of "life" or other movies.

We really get into the discussion about the movies, the actors, their background and what they brought to the role. If you liked part 1, this one is even better. Again this is over 30 minutes, but it's worth hearing!
