The Passionate Collector is a company devoted to jewelry, run by a woman who loves jewelry and wants to make purchasing it easy for guys and girls. Susan Shieldkret, who launched the firm in 2005, aims to provide high-quality, well-designed jewelry on the internet while offering customers the secure feeling provided by a department and specialty jewelry stores. Recently she added a new line for women and a helpline for men who want to give jewelry as a gift

Shieldkret is confidently unveiling the new JennaViv line, which features fine gold, diamonds and other jewelry made in Europe. JennaViv is found alongside a wide array of other fun and fashionable website items ranging in price from $5 to $20,000. She and her staff are extremely accessible, offering a promptly answered phone number, detailed explanations of the jewelry, and a well-photographed website including a sale section.
"If we can help someone make a decision that works for them, we are more than happy to talk to them on the phone. We really enjoy that," she says.

The company's new website devoted to men, www.guysguidetojewelry.com, has just launched. Although it has a small men's line, its main function is assistance.
"It will help guys to feel confident with jewelry purchases for women. They dread it and they need to know that it's worth it and it makes someone happy. We're trying to end the pain of these purchases," she says laughingly. "They can get it done efficiently, or we can walk them through it. We want people to be happy."
