"Frieda & Nellie" Launch a "Sweet" Line of Jewelry at Beverly Hills' A.sweeT
it's always fun to find something new-- particularly in the fashion arena. Talk about the ultimate thrill-- it's having somet new line before any of your friends - and turning them into lemmings as they wish they had found the line first.. but follow your lead. (Ok, it might not be your thrill, but it is mine!) So I definitely accepted the invitation to A.sweeT's party for the exclusive launch of the Frieda & Nellie jewelry line.

I was smart to get there early to be able to get some solo video time with Andrea Trujillo, the mastermind behind A.sweeT, a fashion boutique + unique gifts + sweet treats bar. This combination store makes it impossible to walk out empty-handed!

Sarah Reid, and Stacy Herzog share a love of re-purposing vintage jewelry; "taking apart old pieces and creating new ones," as Herzog says -- their own collection sprang from bona fide fashion roots. Best friends, the pair began dissembling Ecuadorian braided bracelets (after a trip to Ecuador), making their own from scratch and incorporating their grandmothers' (frieda & nellie) old jewelry into the braids. When Frieda and Nellie's old jewelry ranout, the pair ventured to flea markets and more to find pieces as unique as the ones their grandmothers had given them. In late 2009, Reid and Herzog founded Frieda&Nellie jewelry.
