Get Rolling with Cool New Spirits In Time for St Paddys Day!!

St Patrick’s Day seems to be getting bigger every year. Rather than drink a green beer— which seems pretty odd to me, but then I don’t drink beer at all, try these nifty and tasty drinks from Plymouth Gin

Plymouth Express

Ingredients:

50 ml Plymouth Gin

25 ml Lime Cordial

25 ml Sparking Water

Mixology (aka how to make it)

- Place ice in a short/rocks glass

- Pour in Plymouth Gin

- Add Lime Cordial

- Top with Sparkling Water

- Stir and add cucumber garnish— the cucumber gives it a light fresh taste— so definitely make sure you don’t skip this part. It cuts the sweetness of the cordial.

Plymouth Aviation - this one is my fave!!

Ingredients:
50 ml Plymouth Gin

35 ml Lemon Juice ( fresh is better!) Another note- personal choice is often important. I prefer lime juice to lemon juice on this drink. Gives it a bit of a kick.

15 ml Maraschino Liqueur ( this is that cherry liquer. HUNT IT DOWN — it’s essential. This is not sweet)

1 dash Syrup de Gomme ( simple syrup, sugar syrup)

Mixology

- Fill mixing glass with ice

- Add the Plymouth Gin, lemon juice (freshly squeezed), maraschino liqueur and syrup de gomme

- Shake well

- Strain into a martini glass

- Add lemon zest garnish

You can find most of the ingredients on line at thedrinkshop.com or at your local Beverages and More store (think BEVMO.com)
Make sure you are wearing a bit of the green or just have this in a paper cup at all times. Paper if you are outdoors, nice cocktail glasses if you are indoors!

Have a great St. Patricks Day.
