Drinking It All In: New Cocktails Featuring Unique Ingredients from Gran Centenario Tequlia!!

Gran Centenario Tequlia is one of the super-premium brands-- and given that everything is aged in French Limousin oak casks from several weeks to several years-- you get a wide variation in presentation.

The Gran Centenario Reposado spends 10 months in French Limouisin oak casks and the effect is tremendous, giving it time to marry the oak and agave with hints of cinnamon and vanilla that give it so much depth.

The Heavenly Horchata makes for an extremely different, tasty and tropical presentation for this tequila that has that oak finish yet still has some bite.

Jim's Diablo is an interesting drink with a ginger liqueur to spice things up and give it a good kick along with the sweetness of the Creme de Cassis. Love the addition of the lemon juice and one might be able to drink this one all night long.
The Blue Agave plus 28 days in French oak casks makes all the difference in the smoothness of the Plata Tequila

Jim's Diablo
2 oz Gran Centenario Plata
.75 oz fresh lemon juice
.75 oz Canton Ginger liqueur
.25 oz Crème de Cassis

Add all of the ingredients to a mixing glass, then add ice
Shake and strain into a chilled coupe
Garnish with a thinly sliced lemon wheel

The Plata is again featured in this cocktail that is a bit more of a fall type drink.

Featuring the nice lighter Plata tequila, the Treacle cocktail uses cider and agave to play off against the fruit sweetness against the Bitters and thus create a well-balanced drink that one could sip all night long.

Head for the Anejo

Anejo

-- or if you have the dinero and the guts-- go for the Leyenda (pricey but worth it!)

Leyenda

Each has spent serious time in oak: Anejo up to 36 months and the Leyenda is in oak for 4 years and then blended with 15 year old tequila reserves for the most exquisite sipping tequila.
All make a great gift. If you are looking for the gift for someone who has everything, then check out the Leyenda.
