LA Fashion Week would not be the same without a collection that is sort of off-beat. This is the town where tees, denim and swimwear all have their own runway shows -- and lots of them.

Lauren Conrad, known for her reality "performances" on The Hills, launched her collection a couple of seasons ago-- and it's a good question if it's going to make it as a staple retail line (Kitson ditched it). Conrad did design the dresses for the "Emmy Girls" and she adds her own flavor to LAFW.

Here's some commentary from my photographers who were there!

It was the third day of the Mercedes Benz Los Angeles Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios, the place was packed from inside out.
The Event Staff and Fire Marshall decided to stop the people from going in for safety reasons. The much anticipated show of this MTV "the Hills" reality star turned designer was about to begin. Everyone was excited, photographers were busy trying to get a better position on the riser. PR, TV Crews, Online Magz have different kind of access ID's just to roam around the Main Tent. Finally they dimmed the lights, first model walks in, designers, "Gossip Girls"-era teens and even moms taking down notes of the different styles. From florals, different prints, colors and accessories will definitely become a trend for next year. She definitely lived up to the hype.
Overall, it was a great show....and she is a nice person too.....yup!, We met her backstage before the show. See photos below and on the next page.
