Have a Firecracker of a Fourth with These Great Cocktails!
Happy 4th!! It's Independence Day and it's time to celebrate with a few different cocktails. If you weren't able to snag that Koloa Rum Company rum & mai tai mix you are quite out of luck on that one. However we have some new and unusual drinks for you this time and I am sure you will find them tasty and smooth going down.
At a picnic...Camped out on the lawn for the fireworks display? Take your patriotic spirit to-go with Pommery POP America Champagne ($14.99 / 187ml). These miniature bottles don the nation's flag and are light enough to tote to that picnic or BBQ. No need for glassware outdoors, POP America can be easily sipped through a straw.

At a block party...
What better way to show your patriotism than with a bubbly and vibrant red drink? Here's one made en masse, so you'll have plenty of spirit to share. Your party will be the talk of the neighborhood with Van Gogh Vodka's Sparkling Dutch Red Sangria recipe:
Sparkling Dutch Red Sangria
1 bottle Dry red wine
3 oz Orange Liqueur
3 oz Van Gogh Pomegranate Vodka
6 oz Grenadine
½ bottle Pomegranate juice ( POM juice in any mixed flavor or Pama Liqueur works too)
½ bottle Pommery Brut Royal Champagne
1 sliced Orange
Cinnamon sticks
Combine the first five ingredients. Add Champagne and give a quick stir. Pour mixture over ice and add slices of orange. Garnish each glass with a cinnamon stick.
The sangria works well as a huge punch so make a good amount of it. Also besides the oranges, you might want to slice up some strawberries, peaches, nectarines and float those too into the mix. Pineapple also is a welcome addition to give it a bit more tropical flavor.
At a pool...
If you're hanging out poolside there's a good chance the warm weather and water will have the tropics on your mind. Toast this Independence Day with simple cocktails by shaking-up your choice of Rum Jumbie Splash's ($16.99/750ml) tropically refreshing flavors: Coconut, Pineapple, Mango or Vanilla.
Create your own signature cocktail by simply adding a Splash of the tropics to your favorite juice for a refreshing relief from the heat. rumjumbie.com
