Secrets of the Red Carpet: Vogue's September Cover Is Charlize Theron.

With a tip-off from someone at Vogue Magazine, I heard that Charlize Theron hits the cover of the yearly September fashion bible issue featuring an interview with Kevin Conley, entitled The Indiscreet Charm of Charlize Theron

Makeup artist Tom Pecheux and hairstylist Oribe teamed up with photographer Mario Testino in New Mexico to shoot Charlize Theron for the September issue. With Ghost Ranch, artist Georgia O'Keeffe's stunning desert home, as the backdrop, both stylists decided to keep the look clean and simple--perfect skin and easy, swept-back hair with a touch of texture were the orders of the day.

From the Vogue.com website:

To the actress, however, Charlize's own "weaknesses are way more interesting" than her strengths. The images, shot by Mario Testino at Georgia O'Keeffe's Ghost Ranch, capture the delicate grace of Charlize's beauty against the harsh desert landscape of New Mexico

An excerpt from the interview entitled "The Indiscreet Charm of Charlize Theron" with Kevin Conley

Many beautiful actresses will call attention to their flaws over lunch as if to say, "Look, I'm human too!" But when Charlize launches into her own list, there's something else at work. She's afraid of flying, she tells me. She's afraid of growing old and being alone. She's afraid of insulting people. She feels like she's shadowed constantly by a sense of remorse for some inappropriate thing she's just saidIf the list is unusual, it's also oddly familiar, because it's exactly the run of emotions you so often see playing on her face in quiet moments on-screen.

While she takes a sip of her wine, I ask her how she feels about playing all these strong women, and she nearly does a spit take. "I can't tell you about that," she says, unfolding her legs and leaning in alertly. "But I know how I feel about facing my own weaknesses, and playing into my weaknesses and finding that within my characters." By this point, she's sitting on the edge of her couch cushion, as if someone is about to call "Action" right this second. "My weaknesses are way more interesting to me than my strengths."blockquote>
