Get Killer Style at Great Prices: Jewelry from Overstock.com's WorldStock. Blog Carnival!

Back to the Blog Carnival, this time we are all shopping at Overstock.com's Worldstock Jewelry store. This online store is killer because it features a great variety of necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings and more at prices that are unbelieveable for gold and sterling silver along with some real gemstones.

This store was my find because I have been on the hunt for some cuff bracelets and interesting earrings. (If you read my blog regularly, then you know I found my earrings already. If you don't read it, take a look at the posts on 5/12!

With earrings done, I had to have some new bracelets. Given that my first and second choices were both gone in a split second (dichroic glass calls to me but I want color).

Roman Glass Bracelet with Amethyst or Turquoise

Instead of getting locked into the trend of cuffs, I chose this edge conglomeration of sterling and semi-precious stones. This bracelet, of Middle Eastern origin and vintage (think ancient) materials features 90% recycled silver. The stones (labradorite, iolite and smokey crystals or chunky turquoise, moss agate, smokey quartz and onyx), pearls and roman glass shards are inlaid into the silver, creating a more textured mosaic. Another nifty thing about this pieces is that the jewelry studio is involved in a special program that employs the handicapped. I think of it as a "win-win'win" on all sides since the bracelet is one of kind, it provides work for the handicapped and also an economic infusion into that area.

The retail for this bracelet is $120.00.

It's time to go shopping. You can find items for much less and some for more but always a bargain for handmade items!

Roman bracelets shared many of the design patterns of necklaces and earrings from that era. The ever popular ball earrings from that era were nicely matched with a ball style bracelet.
