Ok, before you think both Well Above Average blogger Stella and I are both going psycho or whack,, there is a book here. Stella is talking about Mental Floss: The History of the World.

I have the Mental Floss: History of the World book too and have been reading it and finding that these guys are truly masters of the art of boiling history down to the bare essentials -- and I do mean the strict minimalists who actually have a sense of humor.

How else can you boil down history of the world & human race. According to Stella, "The book covers about 60,000 years of history in less than 400 pages."

Like they say, truth is stranger than fiction. And history is apparently a lot more interesting than the stuff they make up in the movies. The Mental Floss History of the World: An Irreverent Romp Through Civilization's Best Bits arrives on shelves October 28, 2008.
