Kauai Slowly Coming to an End: Poipu Beach & Nawilwili Beach
Time moves at a different pace in Hawaii. It's often called Aloha time and there's good reason because the days are long, the nights are longer and the drinks seem to taste better- no matter where you are. Here's a few shots of Poipu Beach and Nawiliwili Beach which is known for the Marriott Resort as well as Dukes which is truly beach side.
I managed to spend some time in the sun.. snapping photos and someone took some of me.
Poipu Beach: the snorkeling cove in the distance. I didn't want to get up and walk down there because I would have been leaving all my stuff alone and the chickens will dig through "anything" to get at food.
We wound up at Nawilwili Beach because we were hunting for something else to do. Poipul was overun with tourists and chickens (and wait till you see what's coming about the chickens).
I spread out watching the planes fly into Nawiliwili (after scoping out all the stores).

Someone snapped a couple of photos-- and I was surprised. (That's the Voda swimsuit I am wearing. It does everything it says it does.)

Thank goodness you can't see all the mosquito bites on my legs. there are a lot of them. You can see just one and the rest are bigger than that. *(shudder).
The best part -- we had lunch at Dukes. We love Dukes. Yes it's a chain. But in Hawaii, being right on the beach, it's a natural spot to sit and grab something to eat and have a cocktail. Here's a couple of photos:

one made it to Twitter;

and the other didn't. I have no idea why it didn't hit but this one didn't make it.
The drink is a Lava Flow and it's made with Bacardi Rum. It was good too.
Just one short day left and we get on a plane to come home.
