Secrets of the Red Carpet: Chanel Beaute' Gives January Jones & Rose Byrne Stellar Beauty
Chanel Beaute' make-up artists were quite busy this past weekend -- two of the many celebrities and notables they worked with included January Jones and Rose Byrne!
Chanel provided the "beauty break-down" for each actress and it was interesting to see how easy it would be to duplicate this look.
ROSE BYRNE / Makeup Artist Kate Lee
Beauty Inspiration:
Rose wore a cream dress with a gold detail. Her hair was softly textured
and swept into a soft high chignon by Harry Josh. I wanted to move away
from anything too tan or Grecian looking, and keep things young and fresh. For this reason, I used mainly creme and gel formulas.

Beauty Tip:
First I smoothed the skin with CHANEL Sublimage Concentrate, and then applied a layer of oil-free primer.I started by applying a layer of eye shadow base, then worked directly over the top withCHANEL Liquid Eyeshadow in Splash, a gentle mauve pewter shade, new for Holiday.
I added a liner under the lash line to add depth then put a line of the liquid shadow over
the top and blended it out slightly.
Lashes were given a generous coat of CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir.Rose's base was CHANEL Vitalumiere Fluid Makeup, blended very gently away to almost nothing. I only used powder on the nose chin and forehead, leaving the rest of the skin dewy.
I used a tan matte blush to sculpt Rose's cheek bones, then on the tip of
the cheek bones and just under the brow I added a gentle dab of Nars Luxor, which is a transparent creme stick which shines pink in the light. On the top crest of the lip, I used a lip pencil in a rose gold tone, to add a
highlight to the cupids bow, and then I added a touch of CHANEL Rouge
Allure Extrait de Gloss in Insouciance... probably the best nude gloss
ever!

JANUARY JONES / Makeup Artist Rachel Goodwin
Beauty Inspiration:
For January's make up, I was inspired by Irving Penn's iconic photos of his wife/supermodel Lisa Fonssagrives whose signature extended eyeliner symbolizes the epitome of elegance. I used ultra feminine colours with super sculptural liner for a cool update on that classic late 50's silhouette.

Beauty Tip:
I used CHANEL Liquid Eyeliner in Noir along the lash line for an exaggerated cat eye effect, adding extra lashes on just the very outer edges for added length. I then applied two coats of CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir on the top lashes and one coat of CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Purple on the bottom lashes. The rest of the face I kept understated using minimal foundation, pale pink cream cheek colour and CHANEL Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss in Confidence on her lips. I finished the look by dusting her brow bone and lids with a loose iridescent pearl shadow with a hint of purple to play off the super reflective quality of her dress.

Love the look from these make-up artists. These ladies were glowing all night!
