Pixi Brings You a Glowing Complexion for Fall! New Products That Are Good for Your Skin!
I recently got to try some great products from Pixi-- the incredible cosmetic line that you can find at Target-- my "home away from home" given how much money I spend there and loot I leave with.
Created by make-up artist Petra Strand, this is a great line that's very affordable when you realize the quality built into it.
Strand has launched a few new products for Fall 09 that you really should check out. I did and I love them! I can't say that about every beauty product and eventually something lets me down but I must say that this Pixi collection of foundation, primer, powder and concealer wowed me!
Flawless Beauty Primer ($29.00) - Creates GLOW from within. The perfect primer, loaded with skin loving ingredients:
•Pure Pearl Extract: for revitalization, protection and anti-aging
•Truffle Extract: a luxury additive rich in amino acids and minerals to tone and hydrate
•Vitamins E, A and C: each with revitalizing and nourishing and skin protecting benefits
This is one amazing product!! It's one of my favorites and I like it better than most high-end primers because of the pearlescent glow gives you a more even tone to your skin and you glow from underneath the foundation. Wow.. a power punch for holiday or post party skin!
Flawless Finishing Powder ($21.00)
- Complexion enhancing, anti-aging and antioxidant powder with a velvet and translucent finish that softens imperfections with a compound of triple-milled gemstones and mineral based ingredients:
•Mala'kite: a semi-precious stone rich in copper, which heals, protects, accelerates repairing of the skin, reverses signs of aging, thickens skin & improves elasticity
•Rhodo'lite: skin firming, anti-aging, anti-stress and purifying mineral
•Zin'cite: helps fight effects of pollution & contains cell protecting properties
•Hyaluronic Acid: cushions and lubricates skin with excellent line plumping properties
•Vitamins A and E: for moisture, elasticity, and antioxidant protection
Nice powder that travels well and can give you that sweep of perfection in a flash-- without any oiliness or too matte of a finish.
Flawless Vitamin Concealer ($18.00)
- A mineral, peach toned concealer which erases darkness and instantly smoothes and plumps fine lines. This dual-purpose product not only conceals dark circles and imperfections with light-diffusing, optically-activated particles, it also actively conditions and nourishes the skin with vitamins, for a flawlessly fresh look.
This is a great little concealer-- and buy two-- one for your bag or desk and the other for your kit. This concealer should be warmed up a bit to smooth on lightly and tap it on. It covers the blue of the allergy circles really well. Love it!!
Flawless Vitamin Veil, a cream foundation compact in 3 shades. ($35.00)
Crème to powder medium to full coverage foundation that miraculously evens out skin tone and makes it look like you have no foundation on. It also treats your skin to a host of vitamins, minerals and skin enhancing goodies. Line plumping, hydrating, nourishing, protective, soothing, hypoallergenic, fragrance free. Suits all skin types.
Beneficial Ingredients and what they do:
1. Sodium Hyaluronate: Natural moisture found in skin; a powerful skin and line plumper.
2. Aloe vera: Soothes and heals stressed skin.
3. Vitamin E: A powerful anti-aging and antioxidant ingredient.
4. Vitamin C: Protects and revitalizes tired skin.
5. Camellia leaf Extract: Rich in antioxidants
The near perfect foundation at a great price. I was skeptical at first because it only came in 3 colors. However this foundation goes on smoothly, evenly whether you use fingers, brush or sponge and it seems to melt into your skintone. You might have to play with it a bit and blend it out. Give it some time and suddenly you look like you have no makeup on. It covers marks and discolorations nicely too. I love this and it travels well. Again, something you might want to have another one for traveling or the office just because.
