Kristin Scott Thomas Gets Gilded for the Golden Globes by Makeup Artist Vanessa Scali

Kristin Scott Thomas hasn't been so visible on the red carpet for quite some time-- but she definitely did it right this time.

With this gorgeous vintage 40's inspired Lanvin dress, it's simplicity meshes perfectly with her creamy complexion and reminds one of Audrey or Katherine Hepburn along with a sleek panther-like silver screen siren.

Make-up was done by Vanessa Scali, make-up artist to the pros and definitely someone who knows her stuff.

UNDEREYE

Vanessa used concealer Lancôme's Effacernes in Light Bisque for clean, fresh, flawless coverage.

FOUNDATION:
Vanessa only applied minimal foundation, as Kristen has nearly perfect skin (product: Bobbi Brown Stick foundations #3 & #4).

BLUSH:
For a touch of color on the cheeks, Vanessa dabbed on Stila's Convertible Color in Poppy on the apples of the cheeks.

EYESHADOW
: For a natural, but glamorous eye look, Vanessa applied Le Metier de Beaute's True Shadow in Sugar all over the eye, then sweeped Jojo at the outer corners of the eyes for drama.

EYE LINER:

To define and elongate the lashline, Vanessa used Le Metier de Beaute's Precision Liner in black.

MASCARA:

Vanessa says: "I prefer luxuriously full lashes but do not want to sacrifice length. So I mix my mediums - DiorShow in Black from the root to the center of the lash

and Maybelline's Lash Stiletto from center to tips. The result is gorgeously lush and seductively lengthy lashes!"

POWDER:
"The 40's look is very clean and dewy so only powder where you need it." Vanessa used Le Metier de Beaute's Classic Flawless Finish powder in Transluscent

LIPS:

Vanessa prepped her lips with La Mer's luxurious lip balm and stained them with Le Métier de Beaute's Color Core Lipstick in Kona - for a "bitten" look.
