Given that I am a "die-hard' sci-fi person, I have seen the entire Star Trek series (all of them!!) and the movies at least 4-6 times --each. There are some episodes that I can tell you the entire episode theme within 30 seconds of the opening. (beat that!)

However it was really funny to see in LA Times last Friday an article/interview with Adam Nimoy son of Leonard Nimoy who was doing characterized his mishap of a lifestyle as a way to get away from being the son of Mr. Spock-- much as Leonard Nimoy himself tried-- often in vain- to no longer be Mr. Spock.

Anyway, that might seem out of the blue till you realize the same day I ran across something on Facebook-- a video entitled DJ SPOCK-- featuring a highly edited version of pieces of Star Trek (the original series) strung together to create a modern DJ/hip hop vibe song. Fun, interesting and kind of cute in a hokey way-- but definitely something that makes one see the possibilities.

So a suggestion to you before you hit play (or before you close this post) allow yourself the possibility for this video to exist -- if only for a few moments-- and enjoy the irony!
