Boston Indie Rocker Erik DiNardo Hits Hotel Cafe @ 7PM on 9/29/2008!

You know i love my music. I have a slew of podcasts and interviews I have been behind on-- actually lost a ton when the machine crashed and burned (more than once-- thank you so much Microsoft for the nightmare!) Now it's pretty much fixed and I can play catch-up as I noodle around with some new hardware and software which will give you a better listening experience.

Erik DiNardo and I have been talking for most of this year. Originally a Boston-based musician with serious music cred in the NE part of the US, he's used to packing venues in Boston and NYC. Try transplanting that to LA and suddenly it becomes an entirely different scenario. However talent does eventually win out -- if you are willing to work hard, network like crazy and have made a few friends along the way.

His music is quirky, a touch perky and sometimes very contemplative. He's got a way with lyrics and some great musical hooks too. (Do you doubt me?, check out this video)

Turning Me Loose-- Title Track for Erik DiNardo's CD.

While this is his debut CD, there's more to come and I have been lucky enough to watch the evolution sometimes from the sidelines and sometimes from an insider's perspective.
While Erik will be heading back to Boston soon for some recording, he's hitting the Hotel Cafe on Monday, September 29, 2008, at 7 PM which is perfect for those who are sorry it's Monday already and want a chance to take a break (and football does not matter)

Here's an interview I did with him a while back. (bear with me while I get back up to speed. I have a LOT of backlogs. Hopefully everyone's still in one piece!)

Erik DiNardo Catches up with LA-Story.com

Head over to the Hotel Cafe and grab a drink and something to eat and hear some great music. You can meet Erik and pick up a CD while you are there. Maybe you can stick around for the next act up too.

And if you are lucky, you might catch me there. I am the invisible one hanging in the corner.

Also catch up on Erik's latest gigs (he's heading back to the east coast really soon) at
